I have been getting a lot of emails from women asking if they should paint their house. I thought this might be a great topic for a blog post, so I wrote about my process and what I do for clients.
I think this is a topic that really hit home with me. Like many women, I’ve painted my house, but I’ve never done it with the intention of having the house look like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. I’m not suggesting that you should, I’m just saying that you should do it if you want to, and if you want to do it yourself, then I would suggest getting some painting tips from professional painters.
I have a friend who is in college who is in the middle of a painting class. We got to see some of her work, and she was painting a really nice, very simple, almost abstract piece. So I decided I would try it out.
There are a few tips I would like to give before we get started. Before we can begin painting we need to have the room clean. The first rule of painting a room is to make sure everything is 100% clean. This means no dust, no crumbs, no paper, no paint, and no fingerprints.
A room should be as clean as you can get before you begin painting it. You can use a rag or a sponge to clean a room, but you don’t want the room to be dirty. Dirty rooms will affect the color you use on the wall, as well as the tone of your paint.
I like to clean a room using a dry brush and a rag. Make sure to wash the room as well after you’re done painting. The only way your room will look as good as it did before you started is if you’ve gotten rid of all dust and crumbs.
There are a few ways to clean a room. One of which is to wipe it down with a damp rag and a sponge or a rag. This is especially important if youre painting the room, as you can cause your paint to bleed through the wall and ruin your painting. Just a dry brush can be used. Just be careful not to touch any other surfaces in your room with the damp brush, as you can cause other issues.
The way to get rid of dust is to take a window fan and turn it on and then turn it off. This will blast the dust from the room. Another good way to do this is to vacuum, just do it as a habit.
Well, I guess I should have thought of this before just letting the dust fall through the cracks of the walls. As it was a room that wasn’t new anyway, that meant no dust was collecting.
And if the walls are not dust-free, you’ll also be introducing dust to your carpet… which will suck up moisture and create mold. That was my first mistake.
