When you take a moment to reflect on what happened, what you felt, what you saw, and what you thought, you will be able to determine to what level of self-awareness you wish to be. The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either.

The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

Like most of the other trailers, its full of sneaking, cool powers, and great fashion. It’s almost like we’re stuck in a time loop ourselves, watching main character Colt slay his way through semi-familiar areas in new ways. I can’t get enough of it.

As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.

I suppose you could say that the game is a bit of a “what if” scenario. A lot of the game itself isn’t really based in science and technology. The Visionaries and their minions are all based on a “what if” scenario. The only science and technology that we know of is the technology which allows for their abilities. We don’t know exactly what was used to create their technology.

This is the game’s first (and only) point of reference: the island where the Visionaries and their minions are locked. There is very little tech in the game, just the ability to create and use technology.

There are a lot of games that are either about the technology or have a very obvious tech component, but americana beauty college is the first game I’ve played that has a major tech element. It’s only two levels in but the tech is pretty extensive.

The graphics are pretty great, the lighting and animation are just great, and the world is very well designed. There are three different types of technology to use- there are the “simple” tech like a lightbulb, the “intelligent” technology like a camera, and the “super” tech like an atomic bomb, but the entire game is about combining these different types of technology to create something new.
